New
bowlers are always very welcome. Whether you're a complete novice who wants to
learn how to bowl,
or a more experienced bowler wanting to improve your game and participate in
competitions and tournaments,
come along and join in the fun and friendly atmosphere of the Bitterne
YBC.
All our bowlers come to have fun, but the YBC is a great opportunity to learn
the skills of bowling.
We encourage all our members to bowl for the club in entering various
tournaments countrywide where we
have been very successful over the years.
As well as having fun learning, there is the opportunity of making lots of new
friends.
Don't worry if you're a complete novice - our members cover the entire range of
bowling skills,
and it's a great way to learn the correct way to bowl, You'll be made very
welcome!
Also, as a member you'll get reduced rates when you bowl at AMF Bowl at other
times,
so if you enjoy bowling, it's well worth joining.

We start Bowling at 10.30 and finish around 12.30 every Saturday
Bitterne YBC is affiliated to the BTBA - British Tenpin Bowling Association
(Sanction Number 915/199 ).
The weekly cost is £6 per bowler
and there's no need to worry if you have no bowling
equipment
as you can borrow a house ball, plus you get Free shoe hire.
Members will also get a free shirt to wear while bowling.
You will also need to join the BTBA (which is
like the FA to the Football Leagues).
At the time of writing this is £7.50 per Junior or £15 per Junior/Adult per
year.
Which goes towards the cost of free monthly magazine
and any achievement badges earned, which are worn on the club shirts
i.e. for milestone scores reached starting at a score of 50 for one game
Our experienced, fully qualified Instructors and
Coaches will be there each week to
provide teaching and training. All our Instructors and Coaches are licensed
through the
governing body of the British Tenpin Bowling Association (B.T.B.A) and the
Police.

who we show you to a lane, and they we help you to learn the skills of bowling.
